Shannon & Dan : Sugarbush : Vermont Wedding - Part One

There are so many gorgeous places in Vermont to have a wedding.  No matter what your taste, the Green Mountain State has you covered. Whether it be a stately hotel, quaint Bed and Breakfast,  or a rustic old barn.  But, one of the best resources we have for Vermont weddings is actually something people might not think of at first . . . our ski mountains.

Shannon and Dan couldn't have chosen a more beautiful place to exchange their vows than Sugarbush. By June the summer winds have transformed the snowy alpine landscape into lush rolling hills, and it's breathtaking.   Having family coming from all over (even Canada, eh?!) this picturesque setting was perfectly suited to serve as a point of convergence.   And as their family and friends arrived, filling the courtyard with laughter, it seemed like they owned the place.  The oversized red barn that houses the Mountainside Condos quickly transformed into a family estate. Everyone passing by the windows was friend or relative, offering smiles and waves in anticipation.  Brothers, sisters, parents, uncles, childhood friends . . . all were committed to support and celebrate Shannon and Dan.  As one of Shannon's brothers oversaw the nuptials as officiant, he ellicited the perfect combination of tears and giggles from all in attendance.  And as Shannon and Dan sealed their vows with a kiss, it was clear that with the important business complete and applause rising into the rafters, the night had only begun.
