about.

Hi.  we're Kirstin LaMonde and Carin Lilly, the photographers behind Two House Photo.  We’re friends. We're neighbors.  Our endeavors began during Monday night knits, cozy in each other's houses, a little space for creativity in our hectic lives.  Between knits and purls, we'd talk depth of field, Vermont winter light, and photoshop. As the photo talk began to surpass the yarn talk, an idea was born.  Why don't we knit less and photograph more?  Ok, well who has time for that? Then we realized we could collect our bits of time, gather the fractured quiet moments of our two houses, and create some room.  Room to follow our love…and Two House Photo was born.

The freshness of capturing light, of personalities, of the spaces in between people, of finding the innate connections that exist for a mere blink, the seconds that sometimes get missed -  that's what we do.  With each click of the shutter, we knit images, stitch by stitch, photo by photo.  Our shots are separate creations, akin to a warm wooly hat, or the delicate knit of a lace caplet.  Each contains the feel, the personality; the connections of the people in these captures.  Not just the yarn, but the spaces between.

Let us capture you.  Knit your creations.  Your spaces between.
