Engagement: Naomi and Christian

So, wedding season next year will be kicked off with the wedding of Naomi and Christian at Shelburne Farms.  Both Kirstin and I, Carin, hold a special place in our hearts for this farm, having spent hours exploring it with our families.  It really is one of my most favorite places in the world.  And, more importantly, there is a special place in my heart for this bride and groom, as Naomi was my amazing and caring night nurse on the postpartum ward the first night I spent with Luna.  In that hazy night of newborness I remember admiring her ring, and, well, one thing led to another, and here we are with an engagement shoot.

The shoot took place at Indian Brook in Essex, another beautiful place (I won't wax on about the connections there...just know that Vermont really is a place of connections), and included Christian's youngsters and the family golden retriever.   It shaped up to be a fun, relaxed shoot where things just happened naturally.  The best kind of shoot.  It sure helps when there's fall color and a creative couple involved.  We even got in some silly shots, courtesy of a certain father/son creative thinking ;)  Can't wait to collaborate on the wedding shoot with the two of them, and future photographer, Jacob.

Congratulations, Naomi and Christian.  You two and your family really do have something special going on.
