Kristin & Matt: Vermont Wedding: Jackson Gore at Okemo (part 1)

What a beautiful, fall day it was when we headed down to Kristin and Matt's wedding down in Okemo.  Maybe the skies were a little gray, but in some ways it made all the colors of their day pop even more.  It was definitely close to peak foliage, and it was gorgeous.  On arrival, my suspicions that Matt and Kristin weren't your "typical" bride and groom were confirmed, as Kristin waved down to us from the balcony, declaring that "Matt was gonna jump."  Okay!  So, he took the plunge twice that day (couldn't resist)...and as Kirstin went to document that, I went to the reception venue to set up the comic themed photobooth (of which they made they awesome props, but that's for the next post), only to find Kristin setting up the tables!  Laughing, I encouraged her to go do "bride" stuff, but her response was that she was enjoying it.  And, that pretty much sums up this couple.  Fun, up for anything, kind, helpful, creative. The typical dressing up, "weddingsy/getting ready stuff" was just not the way it worked for them.   And their whole day spoke to that.  It was all about having a great time with their friends and family, and making sure EVERYONE (including us photographers) had just as great a time.  Well, we did have a really great time, and everyone else did, too (just wait for the party pictures).  Thanks, you two!
