I may be a little sentimental, but I have to say that no matter how long I do this I am always swept up by the love that fills a wedding day. This is the love between the couple that just seems to radiate from them. This is also the love that is evidenced in the community of their family and friends. There were so many times during this day especially when I had to stop and catch my breath at it all. It is always an honor to be invited to share those moments. Thank you, Jenna and Scott. And, congratulations, you're married!

Jenna & Scott: October Wedding: Bolton Ponds: Part 2
And continuing on with Jenna and Scott's special day... After wrapping up the formals before the ceremony, they toasted with their close bridal party, and then they went and got married! It was a simple, meaningful ceremony in which there might not have been a dry eye in the house. They followed the ceremony up with a whole lot of fun. A growler on every table, exquisite food, a great dj (fun lights, anyone?!), and a warm and cozy space set the tone for a fabulous party. They and their guests took their cue and ran with it. It was really great.

Jenna & Scott: Vermont: The Essex and The Ponds: Part 1
A misty, rainy, fall October day in Vermont set the tone for Jenna and Scott's special day. Imagine being surrounded by vivid red, orange and yellow leaves made all the more vibrant by the reflections of the raindrops on them... It was truly beautiful. Now, I must admit, that pretty much no one wants rain on their special day, but I have to say that Jenna and Scott were truly that special couple who embraced the rain with a "que sera sera" attitude. They were getting married! The spot is beautiful, rain or shine! Their friends and family are here from all corners of the earth and it was going to be a great day! This celebratory, nonchalant attitude pervaded the whole day, which was a lot of fun. This day included a first for us: "bridesmen." And, I cannot recommend this highly enough--why not celebrate all of your best friends, male or female, in your own party and standing on your side?! And, well, the last thing I would ever want to do was to assign gender roles to anyone or make sweeping statements, so I'll just say that mixing it up like that makes for perfection for all your bridal needs. Jenna's bridal party had it all covered, ranging from bobby pins to moving furniture to holding mirrors... And, Scott, well, I can tell he's got a great group of guys, too (who bonded and learned new things over a somewhat adventurous taxi ride). And, of course, there is also the connectedness of their families, as evidenced in the ceremony, where there was not a dry eye in the place... but, now I'm getting ahead of myself.
Below is just a peek into their getting ready at The Inn at Essex, and then traveling to Bolton Mountain to the gorgeous Ponds. There, Jenna stepped into her dress and they had a very sweet first look in the corner of the great room... and I will leave it at that. The ceremony and party will be in the next post.
